Expressive Arts Workshop/Group
Expressive arts therapy uses different art modalities (such as visual art, music, body movement, writing, etc.) - in a supportive setting with safety, respectful and non-judgmental atmosphere, the creative process is carried out to promote personal growth and self-healing.
The person -centred expressive arts believes in:
-
Everyone has the ability to create (Trust the Person)
-
The art creation Process has its own healing effects (Trust the Process)
Individuals can explore, release, and transform their inner emotions, and freely experience the creative process without having to worry about how their work will be “rated”. Instead, they can use their creations to show different aspects of themselves. Individuals gain insights, enhance self-awareness, rediscover their inner resources, and face the challenges of their current growth stage.
In workshops or groups, individuals can nourish their connections and relationships with themselves, others, and the world by witnessing and listening to each other.
Warm Tips
Participants do not need any experience in art creation. Please come with an open mind and curiosity.
There is no right or wrong, beautiful or ugly in all artistic creations; this workshop is not an art competition, the "process" is more important than the "work". Participants just need to enjoy it and they will definitely gain something.
Please wear comfortable clothes to participate in the workshop. There may be some body dance sessions during the workshop. Participants are welcome to choose whether to participate in these sessions according to their physical condition.
